Taiwan Dental Association, founded in 1982, is composed of the Council, the Supervisory Board, and the Welfare Fund Committee together with 26 committees responsible for overall planning and executing the day-to-day operations.

It has successfully developed a dentist network, comprising all active dentists as its members, based upon 22 local dental associations throughout Taiwan. Based on the Department of Health’s requirements, all active dentists have to attend the continuing courses and to pass the exams in order to renew their licenses. This system is designed to upgrade the dental service quality so as to ensure the best dental services for the general public.
